Brilliant! is a three piece ukulele band that is out to challenge ukulele stereotypes. Our own material crosses music genres including country, urban and rock n roll.
Brilliant! track 'Winter' has been selected by Off The Record, A & R company to feature on their Acid Tapes Volume 16 compilation CD. Off The Record discovered the track on the Brilliant! TripleJ home page at Click here Off The Record distributes 5,000 hard copies of the CD free via the weekly Drum Media publication in NSW. The CD was released 22/1/13.
'Song Writers Across Australia' on TVS on Friday 25th November 2011 featured the Australian debut of the 'WINTER' video clip by Brilliant! In 2011 the EP CD 'Originally Brilliant!' was released and showcases 'Winter', 'The Flood', 'Sugar Daddy' and 'You're Nobody Till Somebody Kills You'. In 2010 they released their first CD EP ‘Totally Brilliant!’. This EP showcases ‘Two Strangers’, ‘Small Town Heartache Big City Blues’, ‘And She Said She Would’ and ‘Horoscope’. Brilliant! TV debut on ‘Song Writers Across Australia’ broadcast on Friday 18th February 2011 on TVS channel. The half hour TV programme showcased Brilliant! their music, songs and chat with host Paul McQueen. Songs written by the band include ‘Hey Hitchhiker’, ‘Small Town Heartache Big City Blues’, ‘Great Western Plains’ and ‘And She Said She Would’. Brilliant! hit the radio waves. 2rrr 88.5fm Sydney’s alternative radio features Brilliant! in the ‘Song Writers Across Australia’ show.
